Overflow Storage
Extra warehouse space at short notice, for the weeks when a shipment lands early, a season peaks, or your own store is simply full.
When Your Own Space Runs Out
Warehouse capacity is sized for the average, and trade does not run at the average. A container arrives three weeks early, a season peaks harder than forecast, or a customer defers a delivery - and suddenly there is stock with nowhere to go. Overflow storage is space taken for exactly as long as the problem lasts, across our three Dubai warehouses.
When It Is Used
The common thread is that the requirement is real, urgent, and temporary.
Overflow storage is judged on how fast it can absorb a problem, not on the rate per pallet.
An overflow requirement is already urgent by the time it is raised. Three sites means space is usually findable at short notice.
The requirement is temporary, so the commitment should be too. Short terms rather than an annual contract - see storage terms.
Overflow stock is not dead stock. It can be counted, picked and released like anything else we hold.
Space is no use if the goods cannot reach it. Collection runs on our own fleet.
While It Is With Us
Stock in overflow should not become invisible just because it is off site.
Overflow stock is recorded like any other, so it stays on your books accurately. See inventory management.
Goods can be drawn down in parts and delivered as needed rather than only returned in one movement.
Stock comes back to your own site, or goes on to a customer, on our vehicles when the space frees up.
Why Cannata
Overflow is a capacity problem with a deadline. What matters is whether someone can take the goods this week. Handled at Umm Ramool, minutes from the airport, which is what makes short turnarounds possible.
Deira, Umm Ramool and Jebel Ali Free Zone, so there is more than one place for the goods to go.
We can collect the stock as well as store it, which is usually the urgent part.
Overflow stock is counted, tracked and pickable rather than simply stacked and forgotten.
Rate Request
Give us the route and the cargo and we will come back with a rate, usually within one working day.
